DESCRIPTION: This 239± acre timber and recreation tract is located in Calcasieu Parish, approximately 9± miles from the town of Starks. There is excellent access from Old River Road which runs along the east boundary of the tract. Auction Property #34 is located within two miles of this property. The property is well-stocked with even-aged loblolly pine plantations of varying ages; 68± acres containing 25± year old, 18± acres with 21± year old and 38± acres with 10± year old stands. 66± acres are stocked with a 2± year old plantation of slash pine. 44± acres of the tract contain naturally regenerated pine and hardwoods; 17± acres contain 30± year old and 27± acres with 40± year old stands. There is an estimated volume of 4,329± tons of pine sawtimber, 713± tons of pine chip and saw and 1,724± tons of pine and hardwood pulpwood on the tract. Bess Branch runs through the middle of the property.

LOCATION: Beginning in the community of Starks, in northeastern Calcasieu Parish, at the intersection of Hwys. 12 & 109, go west on Hwy. 12 for 0.5± mile. Turn right (north) towards Alligator Park on Old River Road across from Citgo Station, and go north 5.3± miles on Old River Road to the southeast corner of the tract. The tract is on the left side of the road. There is a locked gate. Please call the Information Office for the gate combination.
