DESCRIPTION: This 282± acre timber and recreation tract is located in Hardin County near Saratoga and the West Hardin High School complex. The town of Sour Lake is within 10± miles of the property. The property has access from FM 770 which runs along the eastern boundary. The property is stocked with 117± acres of 12± year old, 18± acres of 14± year old and 14± acres of 67± year old naturally regenerated pine and hardwoods. 124± acres of the tract have been recently harvested and are being allowed to regenerate naturally. There is an estimated volume of 910± tons of pine and hardwood sawtimber and 109± tons of pine and hardwood pulpwood. Pine Island Bayou runs along the southwest corner of the property. The property lies at the northwest corner of the Big Thicket National Preserve, the first National Preserve in the National Park system.

LOCATION: Starting in the city of Kountze, at the intersection of Hwys. 69 and 326, go southwest on Hwy. 326 for 2.8± miles to intersection with FM 770. Go southwesterly on FM 770 for 14± miles. Tract is on right (west side of highway).
